About this sauna
Watershed Sauna, Findhorn sits at the East Beach car park, on a stretch of coastline voted Scotland’s best beach by The Times in 2023. It’s a handcrafted horsebox sauna, built using Alder wood for the benches, granite gathered from the River Findhorn for the stove base, and a Douglas Fir door milled a few miles away.
The setting is open and coastal, with views across the Moray Firth and the wider Findhorn Bay nature reserve nearby.

The Captain’s Table at Findhorn Marina serves coffee, drinks and meals with views over the bay, and Findhorn village itself has a couple of long-standing pubs for something more substantial. Findhorn Bay is a nature reserve, home to seals, ospreys and wintering waders, with walking routes along the dunes and into the Findhorn Foundation ecovillage nearby.
