Sauna at the Kings, Cullen sits right on the beach beside the Three Kings, a set of sandstone rock stacks that give the sauna its name. It’s a wood-fired barrel sauna, built with local wood, set in an elevated spot looking straight out over the sea.

Parking: Free underneath the railway viaduct, with direct access onto the beach

The Seafield Arms Hotel in the village serves food all day, including a bowl of Cullen Skink, the smoked haddock soup that takes its name from the town itself.
