Orka Sauna, Burghead sits on the coast at Burghead, heated by a Narvi stove handmade in Finland with a large stone load designed to hold heat for longer.
The beach here is part of Burghead Bay, a long stretch of sand backed by dunes, and one of the spots along this coastline known for dolphin sightings in the Moray Firth.

What’s nearby
The Pictish fort and Burghead Visitor Centre sit up on the headland, with carved stone artefacts and views over the Moray Firth, a good spot for dolphin watching too. There’s no café in the town centre itself, though the Co-op sells takeaway snacks, and a kiosk near Burghead Holiday Park, about 15 minutes’ walk away, does coffee.
