Yes — you can move between the sauna, the water and breaks outside at your own pace.
From my visit
The sauna sits right beside the promenade, so walkers, runners and beachgoers often pass by throughout the day, especially during warmer weather, but it still manages to feel relaxed. The views across West Sands towards the dunes and St Andrews skyline are what really shape the experience.
The beach is near the sauna, but the distance to the water changes a lot with the tide. At low tide, it can involve a much longer walk across the sand, so it’s worth checking tide times before booking if sea dips are an important part of your visit.
There’s no private or sheltered changing area, and the sauna sits right beside the promenade, so it can feel quite open with people walking nearby. It’s best to arrive as sauna-ready as possible, although there are public toilets just behind the sauna if you need somewhere to change.
