About this sauna

Set beside a quiet loch within Eden Springs, this sauna sits tucked into a more sheltered spot amongst the trees, only becoming visible as you get closer.

Positioned right at the water’s edge, it’s easy to move between the sauna and loch, with ducks often passing by and views stretching across the water towards the surrounding woodland.

I visited Eden Springs for a social session to see what it’s actually like, especially the group dynamic and the loch swim.

Before you go

If you’re new to wild saunas, these quick answers might help

Do you have to go in the water?

No — you can enjoy the sauna on its own.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes — you can move between the sauna, the water and breaks outside at your own pace.

From my visit

Is it easy to find once you arrive?

It can take a moment to find at first, as signal may drop within the park. Using What3Words (jacuzzi.sandbags.songbird) helps for the final approach, with the sauna tucked just past the coffee shop amongst the trees.

What’s the loch like for cold water dips?

The loch is deep — once you climb down the ladder, you won’t be able to touch the bottom and you’ll be swimming straight away. It’s calm and easy to access, and you’ll often spot ducks nearby while in the water.

Is there someone on-site during sessions?

Yes — there’s a host onsite throughout sessions, helping things run smoothly and available if you have any questions or need assistance.
