About this sauna

Set beside East Sands Beach in St Andrews, this off-grid seaside sauna offers a simple, restorative escape by the water. Housed in a converted horse trailer and built from heat-treated aspen, it pairs wood-fired heat with open views across St Andrews Bay.

Inside, the experience is intentionally minimal. With no distractions beyond the changing light and sea outside, the focus shifts to heat, cold, and the rhythm of the surroundings.

Rooted in the East Neuk’s sea-swimming tradition and inspired by Nordic sauna culture, it’s a place to unwind, reset, and reconnect with the coast.
